Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Haha, yeah one day I'll finish this ******g garage.

As for the bar tape, I thought that all black would be boring, which is why I went camo. It has black in the splotches so I thought that would be enough to tie it in.

That camera in that mode cannot separate the spokes from the background, so it thinks they are part of the background. You can see that they are sharp where they cross the bridge supports.

No ****.

If the bike is black on black, with black accents, why booger it up with some weird stuff that goes with... Nothing on the bike.

I just finished assembly. I have 3 steel bikes of various vintages. They each get around 500 miles a piece.

Get new glasses. I checked the top tube with a ruler on a flat panel display and it's perfectly flat.

Nice bike

I can tell that you tried to hide the valve / logo misalignment of that rear tyre behind the chainstay.

I think it’s the slight fisheye effect you get towards the edge of a phone lens when close-up. That part is just about flat, but towards the edges the wheels look like they’re not quite parallel to the frame. Maybe it’s accentuated by the front wheel being turned a bit.

p.s. Paintwork is in amazing condition. How old is that frame?

I bought the frameset on Ebay from a seller in France and think it's early 2000's. It was likely a custom given the name of the original owner painted on the top tube under the clear coat. The frame looked to have been built up but never ridden. I'd similarly bought a like new Cyfac Le Mythique TT frameset that I built as a road bike.

Early 90's Columbus EL-os Olympia Fusari. An older pic, has had a few changes since. Getting a complete makeover now.

Well, now you have the saddle bag and water bottle issue, not to mention the stems are not aligned. Hotness just seems to elude you.

My new bike, crappy photo edit, as I was having trouble with the contrast of the snow and trees in the horizon:
