Is "Velocipede" a current bicycle brand?

Wasn't able to find any info after searching the brand and the model name. There's no right side view of the bike so I can't tell what kind of components this bike is using.
This is not the first time I have seen a Velocipede branded bike, but something's off about this brand. None of the bike shops with velocipede in its name sell bikes with this brand printed on them. Is this a real brand or one of those unknown brand?

I am guessing its not sold in the USA because it has a proper kickstand mount on it.

It doesn't look like anything of quality: cheap looking mechanical disc brakes (possibly Zoom brand with a dime sized brake pad), a seatpost with a separate old school head, no name fork, a derailleur with red pulley wheels indicative of something cheap looking at other components on the bike, square taper cranks, front derailleur with an exposed nut and a Acera 7 speed shifter.

It looks like it could be fairly modern in terms of brand but quality isn't really there I would avoid.

A "brand" can just be the name some investors put on a run of bikes to sell to some mass-market retailer. So yes, "Velocipede" is a brand, but it's not one that matters.

Looks like it's actually a rebranded Specialized frame.

Which one? Doesn't look like any of their current frames.

Yep, very cheap build. Looks like a supermarket brand bike.
