Continental Top Touring. They came on the bike and provide a nice ride. Just about worn out now

Top Contacts and Contacts aren't nearly as good. The Contacts are okay but not quite as round and subtle as the Top touring.

Schwalbe Marathon Plus, we've used them in all our tours. Only one puncture in over 20000kms touring.

Continental UltraGatorskins. Fast, lively ride, reasonably puncture resistant. The widest they come in for 700c is 28mm (actual measurement is less) though so fat tire lovers need not apply. If your total load is heavy they may be too narrow, otherwise I find the lively ride to be a joy. They have 1000 times nicer ride than the 32 mm marathon pluses that they replaced on my bike. I hated those due to their extremely high weight and dead feeling ride and replaced them after a few hundred miles.

The marathon pluses might be nice for commuting in glass strewn streets or for someone who doesn't care about ride quality or weight and wants to never fix a flat. Personally I'd rather have a lively efficient ride and fix a flat once in a while. That said the Gatorskins have been pretty flat free for me anyway.

Continental Touring Plus, 32mm. Measure 30mm inflated. Great puncture resistance, light, nimble, easy on and off. Wearing quicker than previous XRs, but cost only half as much.

Schwalbe Marathon Supreme 700 x 40C. Cushy, velvety, excellent grip, fast and seems to be quite puncture resistant with no flat in 5000 km this summer, on asphalt and gravel roads. Seems like they'll be good for another year at least, once rotated. The bike is a Surly LHT.

Schwalbe Marathon Supremes. 700X40 on the rear, for a nice ride; and 700X35 on the front for quicker and more precise steering - without sacrificing a nice ride. (better than a 40 on the front-IMHO)

Roll easy, great traction - wet/dry, straight/leaned, great reflex sidewall-really bright, have been bulletproof so far.

Panaracer Ribmo 700x32. Smooth tread for speed and traction on pavement. THICK (6mm+) tread for great puncture resistance and durability/longevity. (5000 miles and counting on the rear...should make 8-10k easy) Supple sidewalls for an excellent ride. (Yet thicker than the Pasela TG's sidewall, which is known to fail) Folding bead for light weight and easy storage of my spare.
And they're cheap. I got mine for 23 bucks each.

'nother Schwalbe Marathon user here Best tires I have had in years. I used to be a big IRC or Michelin fan, but those tires are all but unavailable.

I have great results with these in 32's.. Never tried the 35's. I also like the Conti Ultra Gatorskins in 28's. Both very different tires but serve me well.

I've got it set up on the rear of a CrossCheck with 35mm Pasela TG on the front. Very comfy set up. It feels faster than the Marathon Supreme but I could be imagining things. It looks smaller than the 35mm Pasela. Unfortunately got my first flat with the Pro from a heavy duty staple.

I've been using Conti TT2000 26x1.75 on my LHT for a couple of years. They have been just fine, no flats, but they are probably a bit slow. I'd like to go with 1.5 wide tires, but I'm going to run these out before I switch.

My SO likes Schwalbe Marathons.

I tour on 32mm, its a good size for fully loaded riding on the road or lightweight touring with tracks and trails.
Originally used Conti top touring but now use Schwalbe Marathon (not the Plus). The Marathon sidewalls are thicker, tougher but not so efficient. I regard the Plus versions as a commuter feature, not really required on tour.

Schwalbe Marathon - not sure which model. 700 x 32. I like them a lot. No flats so far (2 years, one 1,000-mile tour.)

Hi,

Schwalbe Marathon XR.
Why? last about 2500 km, has a some punctures, no grip on mud and snow, is expensive.

I really don't why I gave that tyre a 2nd chance... (The tyre I bought in Turkey costs about 5 USD, last 10000 km, no punctures, good grip, but very very very noisy on tar roads)
