Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Once again shopping for spokes on Amazon (and anywhere else I can think to look). But on Amazon, they had some of their spokes measured in inches.
298mm. Can't be found. I can prolly get 300 locally. But 298 was already a compromise. I guess I can get out the nippers.

Reminds me--it actually is possible to bankrupt a college. A nearby one folded before COVID. This wasn't a couple buildings in an office park--it had a full fledged campus out in the boondocks. At it's closing it had fewer than 500 students. Yet somehow it stayed open for 150 years.

ECU is American (duh). Canadians, other nationalities, welcome to attend, obviously.

The industry constantly engineers thing to be perfect and that's how we end up with the garbage they produce now. Auto tune, beat adjustment, etc. I like music that sounds like humans made it not computers. (Except for the stuff made with hard drives, I find that really cool. I don't know why.) A missed note, timings a little off. Etc. Put some heart and soul into it.

Our weather has always been fickle but this winter it's positively schizoid. We had 52º on Wednesday, 8" snow yesterday, and it was 2º this morning.
