You all need to live and ride in a city like mine - El Paso - where, if you're out on a ride, it is 99.9% likely that you are the only bicyclist within a ten mile radius. In one week of riding in Denver (out of the 5 or so years there) I would say or hear "On your left" more times than in 30+ years in ELP combined. And not because people won't say it - it's because they don't exist!

I don't get the whole hating to be passed by women thing. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the view after being passed is better than the view before being passed.

I've hit a few asshats on the MUP but nothing quite like this. I think I would of pulled off for a 15 minute break and let him go. It's just not worth the risk.

Some of them are not only fast...they are beautiful.
As long as they don't yell "on your left Grandpa!" I am OK

I dunno beanz, that dude had some really sweet-lookin arm-covers, likely to make his elbows more aerodynamic. I think he must be the better biker, and we should all defer to him...

Steve V. You sent me a PM about the tires on my Trek 900. I don't have enough posts to PM you back, so I'll do it this way. The tires are SCT Selecta Kevlar. They're just good city tires that we put on when we restored it. And if anyone can send him a PM would they please send him this information.
