Its day in the sun...
With a few component upgrades and a thorough wipe-down, it's only proper that the ugly duckling of the family--the Dash--gets its day in the sun...

Seeing you're such a Tern devotee, you can pick up one of their rigs in Rodalink on Teuku Umar in Denpasar. Bukalapak has Tyrell 'homage' bikes for $250 if that's your poison. Or you can swing by Singapore, and pick up a Crius or FHHon job. choices a'plenty for your discerning tastes.

that actually looks NICE!
dang now i gotta think if this will fit in the luggage if it take it entirely apart next time i visit the inlaws..... but they live in sumatra island so i have to convince the wife to visit bali on the way back home...... hmmmm but then again that entire frame is hi ten steel which will probably weight a ton and chew up all my luggage allowance heh. my last bike i picked up along the way home was 15.5lbs so I had alot more room to play with.

we have courier shipping in Indonesia. The Post Office, JNE and Tiki ship stuff throughout the archipelago. you can have it shipped to you. no need to come to Bali just for that. if i were you, though, I'd take a flight from Sumatra to Bangkok, and buy better stuff there. a folded Dahon Dash or Dahon Dash Altena frame would travel well. If you want to splurge, go with a PC Reach frame.

I'm abnormal. Instead of looking at the stuff I'm supposed to, I look at whatever else is there, such as messy garage in background, shiny floor tiles, the garden plants,

Reinstalled in the correct direction now...
Don't know whether the old stock brakes and their symmetrical pads were not so good, or my own installation and fastidious tuning--as opposed to letting a shop's mechanic do it--with the new brakes with asymmetrical pads makes all the difference, but these Avid brakes are noticeably more powerful. So that's that for the rear. I've gotta change the front brakes now...
