And here I thought it was customary to hacksaw the derailleur hanger off the dropout... clearly it's easier to just cut the dropout in half... same effect, right?
It goes faster with a torch, too.

Perhaps this troglodyte was cutting up a broken frame with a torch and noticed this bit, and the only tool handy is the aforementioned torch?

The only thing not rusted on that bike are the decals. Click on the posting only if your tetanus shot is up to date.

This is not as wacky as it would first appear as the seller knows it is rust bucket and seems to be poking fun at it him/herself.

There has been much talk about how Ross's made in Far Rockaway, near the Atlantic Ocean were always prone to rust. I guess that is true.

The ad for this Nishiki calls the model name "Oculus" three times. Seller must have a Transformers fixation.

All that's missing is "Schwan" and it would be the perfect ad.

^^^^^ I've been meaning to post about this seller.

https://madison.craigslist.org/bik/d...653889639.html

https://madison.craigslist.org/searc...rch=1~list~0~0

For a hilarious fall into a rabbit hole, follow his "More ads by this user" link (second link). The guy has EVERYTHING, from 20th-Century PC software to a $27 million meteorite. EVERY one of his 377 ads, right down to the dollar-apiece Mexican flags, requires you to send a photo of the cash. Among the bikes, most are incomplete, some in inexplicable ways (e.g. one pedal). Prices range from overinflated ($50 Kent BSO) to.... well... see above.

Edit - I'm tempted to send him a pic of 98 very randomly scattered pennies in reply to the Mexican flag ad, just to see if he counts them before replying.

Right Ben!
Definitely the loosest Carpet Fiber weave I have experienced. And great color selection for the layers of CF instead of the usual black. Smiles, MH

Schrader vs presta

Local seller in Montana has many ads. Different bikes but he/she always makes the comment Presta valve gives you a stronger wheel than Schrader. Hmmm

Those are like the pedal blocks my dad put on my Schwinn Speedster when I was a kid...except he didn't use cable ties and he stapled an old inner tube to the wood for more traction.

"Clydesdale fork" is actually pretty cool

Although the blender, is there a mechanical connection? Are the gear ratios high enough to actually make the blades go blender speed? Or is there just a battery somewhere?

I got to operate an early version of that fender blender at a gathering at Saris HQ ca 2008; it was loud as all get-out, but it definitely got the blade up to speed. Someone should make an overlay for an indexed rear thumbie with "Chop, Blend, Puree, Liquefy...."
