Brifter Covers

Why is it so difficult to find the proper brifter covers for a Specialized Allez ?
Shimano Tiagra Flight Deck. What other specs do i need? How do I obtain the information needed?

Covers or hoods?
You need more information than that. Tiagra 4300? 4400? 4600? 4700?

Bikes: Too many. Giant Trance X 29, Surly Midnight Special get the most time.

Pull back the hood, and it should say something like ST-4603 or similar on the inside body of the lever(that would be first generation 10 speed tiagra with a triple, for example). You can probably just google that plus hoods, but if you want to find the specific Shimano part number you can go to si.shimano.com, type in the part number of the shifter, and find the EV (exploded view) document for it which will include the exact Shimano part number for the hoods (Y6UM88010, in the case of ST-4603, for example). Supply for 9 speed and older shifters is sadly very inconsistent.
