Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What is a Trek 600 worth on craigslist?

Not looking to sell, but there's one nearby for $100. Says it's in excellent condition, and picture shows a nice looking bike.

I'm a bike noob, and my sister's the one who's actually wanting it. Just don't know much about this bike, although I do hang out on these forums enough to know that trek is a good brand.

try the classic and vintage section.

i'd say it sounds like a good deal, but without pictures, i can't say for certain.

How the hell do some people ever expect to sell a bike on craigslist with pictures like this? You can barely see it. I guess you know, at the least, that it is in fact a bike. Happens a lot.

find out what size it is before driving 6 hours...especially since it's a men's bike and it's for your sister.

Guy says 22". My sister is 5'10", with long legs.

6 hours? Where's you get that? It's an hour away.

That size might work for her, but bring her with you when you check it out.
