Disposing or using old bike chains ?

Im starting to get too many old bike chains and looked into solutions.
Ofcourse using for crafts or displays would be preferred to garbage dumps.
I found some good examples at:

https://www.designrulz.com/product-d...cycles-wisely/

Here are some cool ideas pictured below. Looking for more good ideas. Ever see any jewery perhaps gold/silver plating for belt, wrist or neck jewelry?

I have a bunch of old chains that I would love to pass on to an artist.

Good suggestion as I do know a local artist that may work some chains into his creations, some of which are part of the TX state fair every year.

I will take an action to see if there are any in my area which is North Dallas. Maybe somebody knows? I know about many of the top LBS but not co-op's.

Not sure, I will check, they should. Wonder what they do with most of the surplus?
I noticed on the news yesterday a story about LBS donating bike part to jails to be assembled into working bikes and then donated to the needy.

My artistic endeavors with used chains is limited to breaking the chain into 3-4" lengths and planting them under my blueberry bushes. Apparently those acid-loving plants need iron. Then every year I like to bake a blueberry tea cake with fresh blueberries that is a work of art.

Might also work on azaleas, etc. (the iron fertilizer, not the teacake!)

Interesting. She uses chains, connecting rods, and the like to create animal and people sculptures. Thanks.
