Village Velo Bike Shop (Oxford FL) Eye Candy

Fellow BF C&Ver joesch and I met for ride today and stopped at the Village Velo Bike Shop in Oxford FL. Thought you'd like a little taste.
Owner Mike said everything displayed in the shop is for sale. Contact info is 352-492-2864; villagevelobikeshop.com

The Cinelli and Raleigh in the last two photos might not be for sale. As we were leaving, a guy brought in 4 bikes to sell to Viillage Velo Bike Shop. The Cinelli and Raleigh were two of those bikes. We left before seeing what else he had.

Wow, lots of collections in this shop. Joke about opening a "non-profit" bike shop in retirement to socialize about vintage bikes, hang out, drink coffee and beer. This may be one of those?

You're welcome. I didn't ask him, you'll have to call him if you're interested. None of the bikes were marked with a price that I could see, but the few bike prices he mentioned sounded fair to me. He had joesch thinking about it anyway. I think the owner is the kind of guy who will negotiate with you over anything in there. I did ask him if he buys to sell or keep. He said the ones he keeps are at home and he has 175 bikes there.

I think you're spot-on or mostly right.

That Bob Jackson is looking pretty sweet! Is that one of the Arrowhead family? There was a Bicycle Guide article about the BJ Arrowhead built with Reynolds 753...

..this was from the June 1995 issue of Bicycle Guide, for those who are curious.

Apart from the possible fire code violations, I don't see a problem at all with this.

FL treasure trove

The shop had an amazing selection of sought after classics.
I could have spent an additional hour or two drooling.
We also did a nice ride with our classics.
What a great trip to meet C&V collectors, SpeedofLite and enjoy some great conversation riding in this beautiful FL area. Here are a few more pix that I took, almost forgot about the camera as I was trying to survey all the treasures.

BTW, I added the pix of the proteus frame since I went to UMCP circa early 80s college park where there were many great frame builders at that LBS https://www.proteusbicycles.com/
