DT Swiss tandem 540+Hugi disc adapter collar

Hello
I have a dt swiss 540 and hugi tandem hubs.. Both have a 9mm thick collar that sits on a threaded hub boss to accommodate a disc rotor or when removed a drum brake....
The OLN on my wheels is 140mm
After seeing another post detailing the failure of one of these collars I noticed mine is 9mm whereas some are 20mm (145mm OLN)
Is my 9mm dictated by the 140mm OLN.?
Is the 9mm strong enough.?
Thanks for sharing your experience
David

You might call Mel at Tandems East, who knows all things tandem and sells various versions of these "donuts" on the website (see screen shot below, although I don't see a 9mm). Brake parts page linked here. I've bought the version from him for our 145mm rear hub.

That's very very helpful.... Thank you
Of interest which of the three sizes did you end up with the use in your 145mm OLN
Cheers
