Bianchi Mega Pro Help

I know this is a preference thing mainly but between two options which should I or would you choose.

A Mega Pro L in 7005 or a XL in Boron Steel?

In terms of the Mega Pro Mercatone frame which is the most sought after material?

I would think that the 7005 Mega Pro L would be more desirable,as when Pantini won the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France in 1998, the 7005 aluminum frame was his preferred choice.
