Mixing Campy Comnponents

I'm building up a bike for my son from the following:
  • Giant TCR-1 Frame
  • Reynolds Ouzo Comp Fork
  • ITM Stem/Seatpost
  • Selle Italia Flite Titanium Saddle
  • Deda Bars
  • Daytona FD
  • 2011 Centaur RD
  • 2011 Centaur Ergo Levers
  • 2011 Centaur Brakes
  • Record Square Taper BB
  • Record 53/39 Crankset
  • Campy Vento Wheels

My question is about the drive train. Will this combination work or will I need to change the FD and/or crankset? I've got a Centaur CT UltraTorque crankset but I'd need to acquire English threaded cups.

Thanks!

Most likely it will work. The only questionable area is the 2011 shifters with the old FD. The 2011 shifters have the new limited function powershift mechanism that's similar to the '07-'08 escape shifters. There is no trim click from the big ring, like there is from all other Campy shifters. If you can find 2010 shifters, you'd like them a lot better. They have 6 clicks for operating the FD and only 3-4 are needed for a double FD. The right shifter also permits mutiple shifts to smaller cogs, while the new ones are limited to one cog per push of the thumb button.

Thanks Dave! I knew about the right shifter limitation but I was concerned about the old FD with the new shifters. The new Centaur parts have been ordered so I'll just have to be careful with the FD adjustment. This bike is a build for my son so I was concerned with budget a little.
