Club ride
We were on a club ride down some very narrow and winding roads. The thing that I need (at that time) is some mirrors that could see clearly with a tandem. What I mean is, at 7 feet the bike starts feeling like a big truck on some narrow road in Europe. I feel like I need some sort of mirror that sticks out a bit more than the average mirror so I can get a better vision of the road. I once saw a tandemist rig up an old pickup truck mirror to his bike for this same purpose. I'm thinking something along that line but not that bizarre looking. Does anyone have any ideas?

Take-A-Look eyeglass mounted mirror. Made in USA and have used mine for over 40,000 miles on our Zona tandem.

I used the eyeglass mounted mirror for years, but switched to the Hubbub helmet mounted mirror which I much prefer.

I have tried a helmet mounted mirror for a bit, but it bounced so much it was hard to look through it. Are some more steady than others?

I put on of these bar-end mirrors on my wife's stoker bars, and she really likes it. Although they seem to market the mirrors to riders with flat bars, they work fine on her drop bars. They are available through many retailers, not just Performance.

I find the hubbub mirror to be very stable. Tandem geek reviewed it on his blog. Here's a different review: HubBub Helmet Mirror | Road Bike Rider

Most of the riders I know have tens of thousands of miles of experience, they all use mirrors, and they all use DIFFERENT mirrors, there's no consistency.
With Stoker #1 , I could easily see over her with my regular eyeglass mirror.
Stoker #2 is taller, sits up more upright, and oftentimes blocks the view. That's okay, but my point is, you need to experiment to see what works for you and your situation.
