Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

A cheap, mismatched Dura Ace 53/39 crankset, 7402 LH/7400 RH, off ebay to fix the wonky 300EX crankset on my Schwinn frankenbike. Also put an SRAM PG850 cassette on it to make it 8 speed, and found the original Exage 7 speed levers have enough range to shift 8 in friction or index mode.

4 tubes for the price of 3, with 20% off on top of that. I forgot how to mount a tire and ruined a couple of tubes because I left out the step of making sure no part of the tube was between the bead and the rim. :-( I also bought rim tape, a pair of shorts, and a Kool-Stop Tire jack.

I think you would enjoy and appreciate the Extralite stuff. Try a stem and / or seat post.
Last I knew they would work on Trek bikes.

The other company to try is ax lightness.
Then the GELU saddles. Suitable to sit on your desk if you don't have a race horse to use them.

My Marin Hamilton came with A WTB Vigo Sport that I really like.Maybe being A steel frame helps.
Bought A few WTB Rocket from Performance for my road bike.
And just picked up a used Felt Nine that has A WTB saddle.

I'm kind of embarrassed to post everything I bought this last month. But I'm plan to rebuild 3 bikes this summer and try some smaller chainrings.

Two saddles from ebay
$20 and it matches my Scott.

Serfas DD Pro Ti Rail MTB Saddle Black also from Bikewagon(Ebay) $20

I want a helmet like that with the shield. I ride on a trail and at times the bugs are really bad. I about choked on one the other day. Nasty. I had one that felt like it when in my helmet where the vents are.

I need find a deal on one. Just spent $250 on a Wahoo bolt computer.

I mostly hang out in the C&V forum, and finally made the Panaracer Pasela purchase. ProTite version in 27x 1 ⅛ size. Quite the b*itch to get on!

I'm building a modern steel bike. Got the frameset (Zona TIG from Il Massimo_ they are associated with Mondonico Jr), NOS Cinelli top 64 bars and Cinelli XA quill stem, Brooks B17 narrow in honey with matching leather bar tape, silver Athena group with optional carbon Ultrashift levers (NOS from 2010) and carbon UT crankset, polished Deda aluminum seatpost, Ti bottle cages. For now I will use my 24mm low profile carbon wheels which have been excellent but planning on getting a silver tubular Campagnolo wheelset, probably Eurus. The pedals are Campy Record Pro-fit.

I'm a high mileage guy (100,000 miles over the past 8 years), and I still see no reason to stock 50 tires for personal use. I buy 10 at a time usually, unless I'm trying something new.
