Getting into Cycling

Hi, I'm getting into cycling slowly but surely. Looking for suggestions on a good entry level roadbike. I have a vintage cycle I've been riding but will be looking to sell that one.

Lots of choices out there. Might try asking in the General or Road forums. I’m sure that you’ll get a lot of advice.

Entry level road bike.
1. Has to fit the rider
2. Has to get dialed in during first month (saddle, shoes/pedals, bar tape, handlebar height & reach optimized)
3. Should get a service during 1st year (chain stretch, brake check)
4. Has to be fun.

Hills = compact double crankset, or a triple crankset. Maybe single ring (1X) but usually employed on gravel bikes.

Determine your budget first

What kind of cycling do you think you want to do? For fitness? For sightseeing? For commuting/errands?
