Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Figure out a way to change the numbers on it to "666" and it might just be the literal ride of the beast.
I thought it was funny.

Very nice Alex! I like the wheels, are those the new carbon-aluminum Dura-Ace wheels or the scandium ones?

Ta.

They are the new carbon aluminium ones, love them. It was a toss up between these, Hed Ardennes or Mavic R-sys premium. I struggled so much to get hold of a pair of Ardennes even to look I thought that the after care in case of an issue would be a nightmare so didn't bother. Loved the Mavics but doubts about wheel collapse followed by spoke impalement, plus the extra dough put me off.

The Shimanos won...

Sweet build btw Alex Could you have gone with a larger frame though? (1 size smaller stem, less spacers, less seatpost showing)

Yes! Thank you! You've got some gorgeous bikes, Davet. The fence is a perfect background, too.

just picked this up. jamis satellite one of very few new steel road bikes so I am a big fan, yes I know the stem is high thats how I like it. This is my first experience w/ a carbon fork. I rode it on cobbles and it performed very well.

Cheers!
As I said in the first post, seatpost hasn't been adjusted yet, LBS put it in the minimum amount because if they put it in too far and i had to raise it it would be marked.
This is the biggest 555 they do, it fits me great, I like the long stem as it's less fidgety.

Edit: Just adjusted saddle - over an inch lower, saddle to bar drop is 10cm-ish.

Cheers. When I finally made a decision on everything I wanted (after changing my mind many times! Had to make sure that everything was good quality and looked good ) it was about two weeks from ordering to it all being fitted.

Got my new bike about a month ago, and just found my camera to take some shots.

Blue 2008 RC6AL with SRAM Rival Build.

Note: Still in the process of removing decals from wheels, just think it looks better without them.

Hi,

In my continuing quest to keep the economy healthy, my Look KG481SL is no longer mine. It should be making its way across the US to its new owner. So my 2007 Serotta Attack is now my training bike. Here is how it looks now:

I know the yellow tires clash but that's what I've got right now for those wheels.

How am I helping the economic recovery? I'm building up a Cervelo R3 as my race bike.
