Pearl Izumi Pro Short/Bib

I couldn't find an apparel section so I'm taking my shot here. About two years ago I bought a pair of Pearl Pro line shorts. They are like heavens' breath while riding and I love them. I was looking to find a backup pair because I hate washing them every day and came across a (supposedly) "new, old stock" pair of bibs. Here's the question. My Pro shorts have a red chamois in them and these have a green chamois. So does anybody here know how long ago the Pro chamois was green, and does anyone know if it's effectively the same fantastic chamois that's in my red Pro shorts? I'm hoping the wide swath of knowledge out here knows, so thanks!

I have some of those- bought 5-7 years ago, green chamois, which is quite thin. Overall fit rather tight for size.

Thanks woodcraft. I love the firmness and thickness of the red so sounds like I'd want to have a long think about the green version.
