I have Enve 3.4s with a Powertap hub. I love them. That said, they came on a bike that I bought used. I'd never pay full price for that setup.

The revival in the 70s included 10 speeds which I think were "normal" colors, and a men's 3 speed in traditional green and yellow. I got a call from a friend at a garage sale many years ago and wondered if I wanted a JD 3 speed for $40. I said yes, as my father-in-law was farming with JD 2 cylinders at the time. I thought he'd get a kick out of it.

It turned out to be a JD women's 3 speed. I was able to track down that those were not marketed, but were given to the wives of JD implement dealers. At the time I got mine, one had sold at auction for $1400 or so. I have no idea of the collectibility of it these days, but I still have it.

I was just in Walmart. Decided to stroll past the bike section. They had a drop bar roadie for $248.00. The brand was Nazz. 3 x 7, stem shifters, Shimano RD and a Kazlino FD.

Viking - bike builder founded in Wolverhampton in 1908 , at one point the largest bike manufacturer in the city. Went belly-up in the ‘60s and the name was bought by a company in Derry, Northern Ireland. My first “good” bike ~1977 was an NI Viking - pale blue 531, low-end Campagnolo drivetrain. I outgrew it pretty quickly and replaced it with a Peugeot.

Any of us with promo material given out at trade shows over the decades could easily add a staggering number of names, but it's more fun to try to dredge them up from memory.

That said, I've just spent an enjoyable few minutes thumbing through The Bicycle Industry's Source and Reference Guide (1998), Italian Bike Industry - The Buyer's Guide, a surprisingly elaborate spiral-bound Masciaghi Bicycles catalog, A&G Bike Market Update (97th Edition) (listing at least a hundred Taiwanese manufacturers), and France Cycles in the World (to place this one in time, there's an article titled "Sachs-Huret: the European Alternative in Answer to the Japanese Challenge").

According to its website, Zefal has been around for 140 years. I had a Zefal frame pump back in the 80s. It also makes fenders, lights, etc., etc., etc.

As a matter of fact, I've had hundreds (perhaps thousands?) of flats. I'll bet more than a thousand.
The highly-effective Zefal pump (which is still operational to this day) was the solution, not the cause or prevention,
Zefal pumps were the greatest boon to cycling before Look introduced the clipless pedal.
