Masi Gran Criterium 62cm and Colnago Super. Also a neat 70's track bike to play with.

Let's resurrect this one just one more time:

On the hunt for a Reynolds 531 British (or maybe French too) frameset from the 60s or 70s...you know...Falcon, Grubb, Butler, Holdsworth, Raleigh, Bates, Carlton, Mercian...you name it...57-58cm...

Something with Nervex lugs would be cool too...

I have made a promise to the bike gods that I will only buy another bike if it is a proper track bike with track droppouts.

I'm looking for a touring frame. Trek, Bridgestone, or Bianchi. The hard part for me is I need a large frame like a 62 cm.

I'm to the point (possibly beyond it) where I'd need to let one go before getting another. The Fuji and Miyata might be the two most likely - but won't know until I get used to riding my 53-54 cm bikes. If I came across a nice Raleigh Team Professional at an affordable price, I might be irresistably drawn to it.

I just found a peugeot frame my size but would be glad to find a nicer one with a fork and bottum bracket. A few forum members are already keeping an eye out for me, thanks again every one. Not even pickey about model or frame material at this point

Also thinking about getting back into touring & would like to do so on lugged steel, with or without parts. Anything nice in a 54/55 cm.

I wouldn't mind a decent quality vintage Trek or Raleigh road bike in ~52cm.

Or hell, any decent (upper end) vintage road frame in my size. Something thats not common would be ideal. Not a of money, but a good home for it

For some reason, I think I'd like to see a Sturmey SW hub. Or maybe an AM...
Probably a feeling that will pass soon enough.

The 1984 Specialissima is higher in the Univega lineup than the Gran Turismo-- full double-butted chromoly versus 3 main tubes double-butted chromoly for the Gran Turismo. The '86 Gran Turismo frameset I have, on the other hand, is full triple-butted chromoly, so I suspect that the Gran Turismo was top of the line by '86.

BTW, I'm looking for a Bianchi hybrid mixte. I just got sniped last night on the Boardwalk frameset I was going to build up for my girlfriend. Anybody have any leads on a Boardwalk, Advantage, or Main Street mixte?

Yes-- at least my '86 was. I'm not sure about that Specialissima on eBay, but I suspect it's also built by Miyata. The one who really knows Univegas is T-Mar.

Serotta Atlanta, SL or SLX steel Merckx from some time ago, or a Moulton FUSO. A Mercian Pro with barberpole graphics, perhaps?

There was newer Merckx recently on ebay. SL or SLX. Maybe late 90's. It had a decent grouppo but not Record. It sold for around $500 - what a steal !!!

I've pretty much found all the bikes I'll ever want. They just happen to belong to people who are big teases.

In order of desireability:

-76 Pogliaghi Pista, built for the Canadian olympic team
-69 Cinelli Pista
-60's Bob Jackson track w. Airlite wheels
-Early 80s Colnago Super
-early 80s Rossin (mint!)
-80s Proctor (got one for the wife, now I need one)
-92 Bottechia Equipe
-Louison Bobet
-70's Viner

While I'm at it, I'd like a Yeti ARC, Alex Moulton folder, Bridgestone XO-1, Fuso, Mantis Pro Floater, Merlin Ti.

Well, I got mine, an "On the hunt" dream that came true!

Late model Peugeot UE-8

Now I have to think up a new one, I know I'll probably end up with one each, of Gitane and Motobecane, just to have represenitive examples of France's Big 3.

Anybody know where I can get a Bianchi hybrid mixte?

I'm looking for a Bianchi Boardwalk, or a Bianchi Advantage, or a Bianchi Main Street, in the mixte frame. Second time now that one has slipped through my fingers...

Or even better, a Fuji mixte, in a 19" frame. Frameset or full bike, doesn't matter, as long as it's cromoly, blue is best, but a 19" cromoly Fuji mixte is the most important thing, just like in the photos. If anybody sees one of these, knows of one of these, or has one of these, for sale, I'd really like to find one...

My "On the hunt" turned out to be hallow, the UO-8 is obviously, and painfully too small to be rideable. But I filled a lot of other slots in the collection in the time being.

My new one is a 23" Peugeot PX-10, late 60's or early 70's, in white.

I just saw an early 60's UE-8 listed somewhere (eBay?), but can't find it now...
