Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Zwift "big spin", finished in group two somewhere and then a little more time with the A-bot to get a half hour in zone. Lilly woke up twice last night and needing soothing or changing. That coupled with a slightly later bedtime than ideal meant that I wasn't super energetic for my hard ride today. Didn't force the issue too much, let some wheels go here and there.

Done it. Works fine. I’ve reported it here before.

Cut the top off or scrape it off on concrete. Flip it over so the fat end is up. Works fine.

My LBS owner didn’t believe me so I asked for a cap and did it right in front of him. He was gobsmacked.

Pretty sure I just PR'd my walk to work, 0.95 mi in 15:26. Had to jog twice briefly to make crosswalk that were turning against my favor. Does it still count?

Most house buyers aren't going to want put the time or effort into making renovations before they move in. But if they did, they'd probably choose a different floor, or appliances, or counters than the previous owner chose.

That's my point. The money would be better spent by the buyer.

There is another Alize©® frame on Ebay that's just like the one I ride. Mine has hit the deck hard a few times, and that was in the back of my mind as I reviewed my Garmin file on Sunday. Might have to swap the stuff, and hang that baby on the wall.

If the first part is true, then it answers your question - you do renovations before you sell because you want buyers to look at it and think, "We can just move in without doing any renovations!"

Mind you, I think the WISEST thing to do is to find a house that's in good shape and READY TO BE renovated, because then not only can you do it in the style you prefer, but also you can make sure it's done RIGHT.

So many of the houses Mrs. GJ and I have looked at online were "Flipper Specials" - bought within the last year and renovated. New flooring (always gray Pergo), new plumbing fixtures (always black finish), new windows, new paint (Fifty Shades Of Gray). You can tell as soon as you look at the first picture. But, did they do the roof? How as the HVAC done? Was the electrical system upgraded? Did they increase to 200 amp service?

Seems like this could have been accomplished with a brisker walk.

I don’t get it. When I am home my sleep schedule is consistent, when I am at work it changes, but I typically get even more sleep or more time in bed. it’s been low now for a month consistently. I am not stressed, I do not feel fatigued, and I am not sick currently. I am currently scratching my head.

It first took a dive into the unbalanced abyss when I did indeed get sick, but it has never gone back to what I think is normal. My fitbit reported 55-65 on the regular, however I am not convinced that took a constant reading like my garmin does.

Apple watch for instance gives you the best number in the night which is not accurate at all. I hit 74 last night according to my garmin and apple reported my HrV status as 74 even though that was only for a minute or 2.

A neighbouring house here unfortunately is now available because the guy had a stroke.

From the looks of photos they hadn't updated much of anything in 30+ years. So the buyer will have to change to what they want, or time travel back to the 70s/80s.

There was a house inspector there a couple weeks ago and I haven't really seen anyone there since, so I wonder if there are more issues.

I think studies have shown that everyone loves cheap grey fake wood flooring, so you have to put some of that down at the very least
