Well what if someone buys it for that? At least he isn't calling it a PX10.
It isn't illegal to try.

I would feel bad for someone that pays that much for one. I love the UO's (I have one myself), but you can get one for 10x cheaper. It may not be illegal, but that doesn't justify anything.

I think he just had a typo on the decimal point.

*shrug* not as if a seller needs justification to ask whatever price they feel like. This bike for example, it always gives me a laugh in my searches =)

Ok - so that orange AE-8 (?) isn't worth the money but man is it cool...black painted lugs, that unusual colour, and all the pieces... Would love that bike (at a much lower cost of course)

Local bike shop near me sold a '70's Peugeot, in orange, with fenders and lights, and all. In near as mint condition as you can get. Sold it on ebay. $1100 plus shipping to Australia! It happens. It was on ebay for close to a year.

Bikes, like that Peugeot, sell for that kind of money all the time! Just because the folks, here, at Bike Forums, know vintage bicycle values , many many many people do not know what a vintage bicycle is worth. And they will, sooner or later, pay the price.

Some of those bikes will end up in Asia, and Japan in particular.

You'd be amazed what people shell out cash for when they don't have cars or kids, but do have disposable income to burn.
