Lopes Road along 680

I have plans to ride to Sac from the Bay Area. All official updates report Lopes Road along 680 indefinitely closed due to a slide. Checking in to see if anyone has successfully ridden past the slide area recently and is willing to report conditions. I can do the 80 bike path, but prefer not to. If it's passable, Lopes Rd is a much nicer route to Cordelia. Thanks.

My buddies and I are planning to do Concord BART to Sac & return on Caltrain.
The Antioch Bridge does not appeal !

Maybe we can just get a bunch of us and bike 680 to 80.
After all, it’s ok to block freeways and bridges.

If you find a way past the closure please do pass it along.
My safest idea so far, is to have the wife shuttle us over the bridge.

Looks like bad news on Lopes Road - the local paper says work to repair it probably won't begin until 2025.

@Barry2 - LOL, I'm not keen on freeway cycling, the only legal one I ride is the shoulder on 580 in Marin along San Quentin between Sir Francis Drake and Richmond Bridge and that's a sketchy stretch. My ride to Sac is Saturday, so I decided to scope it out myself so I can be certain. Right now, between Marshview Rd and Gold Hill, Lopes *being the only road* along 780 that takes you into Cordelia is fenced off and impassable. I hope they finish fixing the water main soon. The I-80 bike path detour is an ugly noisy path that also require an additional 800+ feet of climbing.
