Like the above, only maybe simpler, perhaps rustier, maybe crudely fashioned from plated steel, that works like the "claw" for vintage derailleurs, you know, the thing cheap bikes used to mount the rear derailleur? Does/did anyone make anything like that? I'm asking for a friend (not really, I want one myself)... thanks for your responses in advance.

Somewhere there is a guy with a drill, hacksaw, files, bench grinder, die grinder with cutoff wheel, grinding stone and a piece of flat steel from Home Depot that could make a longer version of a claw hanger.

Is there a reason you couldn’t attach a wolf tooth extension to a claw hanger?

So OneClick... did you develop this combo for a specific drivetrain setup? (And I am interested in purchasing one.) I'm wanting to know, as my interest in this is to extend the max cog size capacity of my setup, but stick (mostly) with my current vintage derailleur.

Yep, although more a vortex I think.

Born, raised and lived here most of my life so.....

If only I had been part of serious cycling before I got into it in the 70's in HS, could have really been part of the early beginning of PDX's ascent to the cycling/frame building mecca that it did/has become.

He wanted to go inward more, but as it's longer it will also do a bigger big.
