I am an old guy new to the forum. Originally a California native that moved to So Carolina 6 years ago. I am the original owner of a 1960 Allegro Special road bike that I raced with in the early 1960's. Unable to post pics until I get 10 posts. Have pics of the bike and of my original helmet and shoes that will date me as vintage or antique.

I think I will take a pass on the pic...lol
The wool jersey looks like it was shot gunned (clothes moths) and the shorts have a case of road rash with the chamois showing through. The leather bar helmet and shoes with metal cleats did survive. Have no idea what happened to the racing gloves.

1960 Allegro. My best friend's dad bought an Allegro in 1965. All Campy with a gorgeous paint job. Turquoise lacquer over chrome, fading to the chrome on stays and fork. So I knew what a good bike was at an early age.
