I was planning on it for most of last year. I was also planning on the Tour Divide but since the Canadian boarder was closed and also due to health problems in the family, taking 30 days off for that went down the loo. Currently my plan is the Colorado Trail (Grand Depart is on the 25th of this month) and honestly I've no idea if I'll be able to do it in 14 days I have or for that matter if I'll even be able to complete. The average altitude is 10,000 feet, the course is 537 miles with 70,000 feet of climbing. They had to do it Durango to Denver this year so you ride (or push) into the hardest part of the trail right away. First resupply is in Silverton and I will be delighted if I can make that on day 2 and its only 80 miles out! At any rate unless I crash and burn early on I've no plans for the DD this year.

I know that the banned member that shall not be named who rides a lot in Wisconsin is doing RAW in a few weeks. I do not know if he's doing this ride. I will check with him.

Edit: The banned member that shall not be named will not be riding the DD. The RAW will be enough for him in that state.

I have to admit I was surprised and disappointed to find that Robbie had been banned.

Snip . . .

Them - 33-speed carbon wonder
Me - 3-speed steel wonder

Anyone else want to join in for some real vintage suffering?
I love how this thread began. An 18-21-24 freewheel for riding the DD. That post is Homeric.

Funny thing is, I haven't got any smarter over the last decade. I think Cino 2022 may be in the cards with a flip-flop hub.

I know that the artist formally known as RT is doing the HNH 100 along with some of the TX Ironmen riders. I will be joining them.

Exactly. Why bother with 3 gears on one side when you can a single gear on both.
