Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

IG is fine if you follow quality content and don't squander time on garage pictures and the like.

None of this makes sense. It's past my bedtime. I'm out.

I saw that, and thought, "Inspector General?", not Instagram.

Which reminds me - when I was promoted to Associate Director, the first thing that popped into my head was a line from the Danny Kaye flick "The Inspector General": "What does an Inspector General do, anyway? Inspect Generals? Or generally inspect?"

I thought, "What does an Associate Director do, anyway? Direct Associates? Or associate with Directors?" Turns out it was mostly the former, till they laid off my Associates, and since then it's been mostly the latter.

.
I used to listen to Harry Shearer on Sunday mornings on the radio. Mostly political satire, including "Karzai Talk" and he had a segment about Inspectors General.

East Coast dream car alert. '77 Corniche, $1500 OBO. The ad doesn't say who's in the lineup on the parcel shelf...

East Quogue, NY

I was trying to figure out why 10 players on the rear deck but they had the DH by then so that’s why.

It first took a dive into the unbalanced abyss when I did indeed get sick, but it has never gone back to what I think is normal. My fitbit reported 55-65 on the regular, however I am not convinced that took a constant reading like my garmin does.

Apple watch for instance gives you the best number in the night which is not accurate at all. I hit 74 last night according to my garmin and apple reported my HrV status as 74 even though that was only for a minute or 2.
My overnight HR and HRV numbers are strongly affected by how much I eat in the evening and how late.

(I thought the Corniche was the 2-door, and the 4-door was the Silver Shadow?)

$1500 for a Rolls? It must be in even ****tier condition than it looks from the picture!

I see a lot of rusted out hulks on FB Marketplace with ridiculous prices attached. Sure, there are some project cars, but some, it looks like they just went out, cut down the weeds around that car that's been sitting rusting in the yard for 40 years, and took a couple pictures, and now they're want somebody to pay them for the privilege of hauling it away.

The premise of the early Vice Grip Garage episodes.

There really is nothing at all good about a mid 70's to late 80's Rolls Royce. Maybe an LS swap and a nice tube frame would make it more appealing.

Would need a twin LS swap to deal with all that weight.

It’s a Campy thing. Just goggle “G3 spoke lacing.”
I did goggle it. My goggle fu is quite terrible. You just explained it well, so there is no need for me to attempt it again
