But regardless of any medical benefits, I've felt chilled recently and am tired of it.

They have built several large ones in center city Philadelphia in recent years. Almost getting as prevalent as Starbucks. There is a small one right next to my Philly office building and a large one across from the parking lot of our NJ office. They are breeding like rabbits.

You probably valued your future.
Riding to the left of the traffic through those intersections--no.
Whether I would try crossing the bridge is an interesting question.

When I first used to ride with Mrs BD I think I scared the crap out of her a couple times riding in traffic, cause I never stopped and dismounted for cross traffic, I’d keep riding until an opening developed. Scintillating.

I wonder if she’s using clipless pedals because that’s suicide when riding in city traffic, you just can’t unclip fast enough in an emergency.

At one point, after cutting through cross-traffic against a red (two lanes in each direction), he explains, "that's what we call a casual cut. It's not really safe to blast it, so... why risk your life?" ![lol](images/smilies/lol.gif)
You would not. a) it's just a little crazy b) there's a dedicated bike path

That'sashame. As college freshman living in the dorms with voracious appetites we owed our survival to a Seven Eleven nearby.

It's Terry Barentsen's YouTube channel - he follows all of the cyclists that he films. And it's not just a case of being lucky - these folks are very skilled (I would have been killed 17 times over if I tried the same).

Sigh. At this point, it seems more and more likely that this bug will become a permanent resident of the pathosphere. The measures we are taking, I hope, will slow this process down so it occurs over many years (or decades) rather than all of a sudden, which of course would be very disruptive to our healthcare system.
I just spoke with my local hospital ID specialist and medical leadership. They are sympathetic but not going to do anything to help with testing our patients. And the local health dept is not very helpful either. Sad!
