Fell off my mountain bike today. First time since I bought it 2.5 years ago. I was just out for a short ride to loosen up. Had to go around a fence and there was a 4 or 5 inch dropoff. I must have slipped off that edge and slammed to the earth before I even knew I was falling. Knocked the wind out of me, something I haven't experienced since school days. Had to get up and ride home. Ribs hurt, hard to blow my nose or laugh. The worst is the pain inside the hip joint/groin area. Crap.

It's pretty accurate. And I feel like crap today, which often goes together with emotional troughs. Don't know if it's a delayed reaction to the flu shot or something else and that sapped all my energy, but right now I can't deal with anything. Tried riding, couldn't warm up, and couldn't wait to get home and curl up on the couch. Sick day.

Heal quickly/ hopefully not long term injury.

One of the "talking heads" said that the reason the NL Central league scored so few runs was due to the good pitching in the NL Central. Excepting for the Cardinals, looking like the reason they scored so few runs is that just aren't good at scoring runs.

Not sure how okay I am yet. Just woke from a nap and need to navigate to the bathroom, dreading standing up. Old men don't bounce so well.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words, I feel pretty stupid, actually.

Mrs. H suggested I go for a long ride while she goes shopping tomorrow “for clothes for the girls.” I’m pretty certain there’s more to this story but at least we are unpacked enough for me to go for a long-ish ride!
