Anyone have a good way to contact Jack Trumbull at Franklin Frames? So far I have found no current web page and Facebook page has not had much activity for a few years so far as I can tell. I have a Colnago Super frame that needs some attention!

When I tried to contact him thru FB, his daughter finally contacted me after several weeks.
He does really nice work. Did the repair and paintwork on my ‘71 Masi.

Jack does very nice work and reasonable. I paid half prior to sending the bike and he contacted me when he was ready for the frame. I sent him the frame after he contacted me and it was done in less than a month, at which time I paid the remainder. Very nice guy and his work is very nice . He did exactly what he said he was going to do and right on time. My Colnago looks great and is holding up to riding and use.

I don't know the guy, but I am guessing that if you get his voice mail you need to leave a message. You probably shouldn't just hang up and assume he will call the caller ID number back, like the millennials do.

Thanks for the kick in the butt, I do have a project for Jack. I called. No answer. Mailbox full. 20 minutes later he called. Described the project. Sent deposit to hold my place. Will ship frame next week. And Bob's yer uncle. Just like last time.

Jack has always done great work for me - re-chromed two forks.
He does reply to email (within a couple of days)
I like email especially if you have important details to relay:

So I emailed Jack and he got right back to me. Luckily I was driving thru that part of the country this past week on my way from Virginia to South Bend (via Pt Clinton, Ohio to do some birding) so we arranged to meet at his place to save on shipping. Let me tell you, he lives back in the sticks! Anyway brought him my colnago frame and he will replace the rear seat stays, straighten fork, bead blast and primer frame and fork all for a good price. Says he mostly just does re-sprays these days. Anyway a good experience and nice guy!

Back on topic, I should look into having a frame painted by him. Is there a long wait time? It sounds like he is not far from my brother-in-law's house, so shipping would be easy.

Yup, mixed Huron with Clinton! Visited Magee Marsh. The area around Jack’s place looks great for cycling (lonely 2 lane roads) if you had the legs or gears for it, really hilly! As for wait time, he did not seem particularly busy, offered to paint mine when discussing what needed doing on the colnago. He requires 200 dollar deposit for paint, I did not ask what the total would be to paint, we mostly discussed needed repairs.

When Jack emails me and say's "your frame is done", I arrange to go up to his place and pick it up. He walks down the gravel drive carrying my latest project like a lunch box, fork upside down resting in the headtube. I'm always stunned at his attention to detail, especially when I've had project ideas that would be "vague" to someone else. Everytime I look at what he hands me, I think "I didn't pay this guy enough".

I called today. The voicemailbox was not full. Freaked me out.
Anyhow, got a call back. Frame is hopefully back from the the platers on Tuesday. The varnish slide decals should arrive the same time. I'm guessing it arrives here when I go on vacation.
