compression sack to fit into revelate sweetroll

I had a packing dilemma yesterday. I had to pack a winter bag that wouldn't fit into size small compression sack. It fit into medium but the problem is in the increased girth of the medium compression sack. It doesn't fit into my sweetroll handlebar bag. I could use a compression sack that has the girth of a small but an extra length for additional volume. My compression socks are from sea to summit...

Get a Revelate harness and you have more flexibility.

Just strap the sleeping bag/compression bag to the outside of the Sweetroll, and place other items/warmer clothes in the space that the sleeping bag would have used

Or, can you just stuff the bag without using a compression sack.
