Personally I'd rethink the idea of pedaling across the border. Also, in my opinion, getting the annual pass and pedaling through camp pendleton is far superior to pedaling on highway 5.

That seems like quite a good deal for that bike. And it also comes in a road version. But fyi it appears to only come in a size 50cm or 56cm, in case that matters to you.

I've had a high speed, down hill, front tire, blow out that resulted in a crash. So I can relate.
I ride gatorskins and check my tires often for cracks, frays, shards of glass, etc. Safety first!

It cleans the gunk off, plus on not so rare occasions it catches things like thorns and shards of glass.
