Rebuild low end RockShox or go rigid?

So, I decided to dig into the Indy C, and found the ends of the elastomers crumbling. Instead of replacing the elastomers, should I just replace the shox with a chromo fork?

Back in 2015, when I first got back into cycling, I put road bike drops and 35C Specialized Tracer and a knobby Maxxis on a 92 Miyata Triple Cross. I didn't even know about gravel biking at the time....

I used to think leather saddles were all hype, but I got a Brooks that converted me to leather. Now, I have also have a Selle Titanico leather. They're both very comfortable in my opinion.
