I agree. They are better than tires of yore but not much to recommend them, other than initial low cost. And that's not saying they are better or worse than other cheap tires.

BS. While the Ultra Sport is the bottom of the Conti road line, I think you'll find it superior to any cheap tire you rode decades ago.

A wider tire can usually be ridden with less pressure. All other things being equal it will ride more smoothly than a narrower tire. Bet you know that already. :thumb: 27" or 700c wouldn't matter....

If you go with the bar end shifters you asked about, you'll have friction front. No reason for misalignment. The Sora will be more forgiving than 105+ anyway. Should be fine.
