Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Laugh at that Falco if you want and I'm not a fan of the styling but it is a serious machine used by some of the most elite triathletes. The guy who owns that bike is Chris "Hoppo" Hopkins. He races and wins 24 hour endurance races and is 5th in word cup endurance racing.

Falco makes some super nice bikes including hi-mod carbon and ti road bikes. I'd ride anything they make any day.

Not saying that company can't build nice bikes, but the style/paint of that original bike would make a Saudi prince say..."Ehh...that's a bit too much for me."

Then I think of the poor bike mechanics that have to work on that beast with huge hollow expanses in the frame.

Since it's a triathlete bike, I'm sure when that bike goes up on a vertical rack they have to run backwards to avoid a gallon of energy drink + piss come pouring out of those chambers.

Those Madfiber wheels have always given me the heebie-jeebies. They look like one good bump would make them explode.

I don't think I could make something as ugly as that falco if I intentionally set out to make a troll bike.

Why don't you get out of the little closed-off world where everything you don't like is stupid and get out into the real world where things have value apart from your opinion. Or take another pain killer and complain about a POS $40 fork. I don't really care. It's your life, not mine.

Meanwhile, they guy is flying his piss filled bike all over the world and winning races while other people post pictures of his bike and call it jackass. LoL

Yeah, I keep looking back at that bike and it's like a new headache every time.

I can't find any real redeeming component I actually like style-wise.

Guess I don't get Triathlon style. Even those $800 Metron cranksets are so incredibly ugly graphics-wise.

Do artist/designers look at this and think, "Whoa, this color combo/graphic design flows together so perfectly!"

You're taking this way too serious...an opinion is just that, an opinion.

Plus your ad hominems are incredibly tacky for a lighthearted thread poking fun at a ridiculous looking bike. You always seemed like a nice dude too...especially when I was helping you via PM's to pick out a new fork/giving the best advice I can.

P.S. I traded my fork for something different and I'll have pics up later. Kalanvinka'ish but curved and tight clearances.

What the heck does this even mean? Nothing has value apart from someone's opinion. Value isn't part of the "real world" but just an expression of people's opinions. If you like the ugo bike, dude, go ahead and buy it. I won't buy it. To me it is worthless, even if a really fast dude likes to ride it.

Same.

Do I need to care if "Hoppo" doesn't like my Bare Knuckle?

You're not hardcore, unless you live hardcore.

Also, tri bikes are ugly and dumb. Also, this bike is ugly and dumb:
