I may have posted this project here before, but I finally put the finishing touches on it today (I signed up for a CX race tomorrow, that lit the fire to get it done). Microshift shifters, otherwise claris components. Got the frame for free on craigslist from someone who didn't quite want to put in the elbow grease to get some rusted components unstuck. It's a bit heavy, so if this CX thing works out I'll definitely be looking for something lighter.

This thread makes me want to get rid of all my (too many) bikes and just get one of these new gravel bikes.

Tom, that's basically what I did. I love the skinny tire steel road bikes, but my local country roads need something beefier especially after they finish chip sealing.

Finally got my new bike dirty, i imagine my speedplay frogs should arrive today although my shoes came yesterday and were the incorrect size so i've gotta try that again. Loving the bike and its speed and handling compared to my hardtail. Dork disc to be removed shortly.

I picked up a 2010 Kona Jake frame for cheap a while back. The paint was very dull so I put some Rustoleum ReColor on and the frame looked brand new again. Barely a mark on it. I built it up single speed with some parts from the bin and tried to sell it. No takers. So, I rebuilt it with nicer parts and drop bars for my second bike.

Yup, CAADX 105 leftover '17. Really loved the color scheme of the SE model but was actually pleasantly surprised by the standard model when it came in, nice finish. Should hit the 100 mile mark on my next ride. I'm loving the handling and acceleration
