Monday's ride included a stop to admire a 1951 Studebaker flatbed truck being used in a nice Christmas display
The owner explained that he salvaged wood planks from his old high school gym that was being torn down for the bed of the truck. Stained and varnished they looked almost as good as a vintage mahogany boat:
The next ride did not go as well

I wish....Even if JB Weld could hold I'm missing a small chunk of flange. This was 15 miles into the 1st ride since having the wheel trued. It was making some noise starting out, but I thought it would work itself out. I wonder if they over-tightened the spokes? I could probably try and get them to take some responsibility, I'll just see what they say without putting any blame on them, hopefully they'll help me get a replacement hub of the same mfg if it's still available.

Junk that wheel, get a new one that uses a better hub.
The front hub flange blew on a ride. I complained to the manufacturer, they sent me a replacement wheel. Eventually, the flange blew on that one. I tossed the wheel set. Fool me twice.

It's not the fault of the shop, your hub is of poor quality.

Oops ... sorry. That is in Palos Verdes Estates, near Los Angeles. That little casita is part of La Venta ... a 1920s vintage building built on the hillside to sell real estate in the area. It has a great view!

Eventually? This in the heart of Queens, NY!
Fun Facts for Cocktail Parties;
If Queens were its own city, it would be the fourth most-populous in the U.S. Only LA, NYC and Chicago are bigger.
Queens is the fourth-most densely populated U.S. county.
About 47% of its residents are foreign-born.
Queens is the most linguistically diverse place on Earth and is one of the most ethnically diverse counties in the United States.
Merry Christmas from my beautiful city!
