Jeremy, your setup looks really good. Light, but sensible. (Case in point: the Gatorskins.) I want a titanium road bike someday. Recently there was one listed locally, a Lynskey with Ultegra group, for $2200 in excellent condition. I really considered selling a few other bikes, my motorcycle, or maybe a kidney to acquire that one.
Striker dj, Gary Fisher was always my favorite line of mountain bikes. I really wanted one in the mid-90s. Marlins were cool, but I especially lusted after a Paragon (or a Hoo-koo-e-koo, mostly because I liked the name).

I went with light and stiff where I could, but my wheels need to, literally, be able to roll over train tracks and potholes without buckling. I agree on the Ti road frames. In the 90s I was too busy being a fat, nerdy teenager to care much about bikes, though I did have an mtb that I rode until the chain broke. The garage burned down with my bike in it before I got a new chain. Anyway, more on point, I will get some more photos of the Little Wing posted here when I can make time to take them.

But he's got high hopes, he's got high hopes
He's got high apple pie, in the sky hopes
Gorgeous bike, tho. I was tempted to buy this exact frameset for awhile there, but I eventually decided to go a different direction. I'll have to let the ladies decide whether or not I'm any more attractive for it, I'm definitely not any faster.

Dig all the silver. Would look good with a tan or brown saddle, tape and gumwalls on that light blue.

It's going to be a bit of a long term project so plenty of time to figure out the details. Just ordered NOS Dia Comp 610's along with a 7700 Durace 42t chainring although..

Those mid-90s bikes are pretty cheap today. I only bought this on CL about a year ago for $50 and I've had a lot of fun on it. I found another exactly the same and almost bought it just cause I like to mess with different parts. I'd like to put drop bars on it some day.

I guess it doesn't make sense to try and protect the top tube when I lock it up somewhere but since you asked nicely..

Scratches and nicks will happen, just means the bike is doing what it is meant to.

Although I do like the pad, this explanation raises the question of why you're locking to the top tube in the first place. Seat tube or stays would be a better choice, since 1) those spots are less fragile and 2) you can include the rear wheel easily.
