I want one built up with all kinds of obnoxiously colored anodized parts.

I dig it! It’s change of pace to see something leaving the surly factory that doesn’t look like a bodily emission. So bonus points for that.

Surly calls it Ministry Grey. It's like a metallic silver with a satin finish.

one of the few builds where mismatched seatpost & stem look great, nicely done!

My Surly with my dumb self on it. I just switched from clipless back to GR-9's with All City plastic doubles, not disappointed. That yellow build like 3 posts up is mean too.

This is an awesome build but I've got to admit, the mix of silver & black parts makes my inner Baby Jesus cry a little.

How do you like that Flite saddle? I've been thinking of trying one out in place of my Turbo.

I have a Turbo on my old Cannondale city bike and Flites on a couple bikes. The Flite is definitely narrower and firmer than the Turbo. I love it, great for bikes with a more aggressive position. Favorite saddle of all time.

The mural is at Saturday Cycles, one of the better bike shops in Salt Lake City. (In fact, it's perhaps the best small bike shop in northern Utah.)

This Steamroller is one of my very favorite bikes. We've spent a lot of quality time together lately.

Color matching be damned when you have a 600 Arabesque crankset shined up like that.

Kudos for the positive Flite review, I too have been eyeing getting one since reading Jan Heine's retrospective on the saddle design in Bicycle Quarterly.

My son came by on his bike today so we could have a last ride together before the end of this year. No matter what I say to him about his late 00's fixiefoo narrow handlebar...he insists on clinging to it

Is that the 130 bcd Sugino Chainring that sells for around $35? The pictures i've seen of it online don't do it justice.

^ 50voltphantom Does that make two for you? One for CX/Gravel one for pavement?

The new grey is hot.
