How long has your super early riding schedule been going on? Is it much more than a year? That could be it.
A lot of your posts read like you're too fatigued to realize the fitness and power that you do have in the bank. Have you considered some sort of continuous HR monitor so you can track things like sleep quality, HRV and resting heart rate? That could be insightful.

Back in the 90s when I was still running competitively, a buddy and I trained every morning at 0500 and did big distance on the weekends. This while working constantly, traveling, and taking care of a young child. I was exhausted all the time and had things like chronic mouth sores and frequent injuries. The actual training was moderate by most standards, but I managed to turn it into a living hell and never performed that well.

It’s been close to 10 months of waking up at 3 am. I don’t even remember what I used to do before that. I do know I would ride til 830-9 and I was doing 50-60 miles everyday.
I have a fitbit, does okay of tracking my HRV but not fantastic. I used to have an app where I could take measurements through the day, I really liked it felt that it was pretty accurate. App updated and stopped working.
This past 10 months my resting HR has gone from 48 to 53.

It had something to do with Taylor Swift being a follower of some sect, and some other weird gibberish that nobody understood.

This morning I could not get going. Which I even found odd with the new bike ready to go, but the struggle was real. Once on the bike I felt okay but not stellar, after the intervals it was meh to the finish.
Next thing about the intervals. I mean they are hard but not like hard hard. I’m sticking with this plan til it’s done but today was zone 5 5 mins intervals. The power wasn’t hard to hold, and my HR only got to 168. Zone 5 on the HR curve for me is 175.
So after the ride when I see the data I question if it’s too easy, but other work outs I have done have kicked my ass so I dunno.

Speaking of religion, I only had one other person on my ride today. We chatted and he mentioned his sister lives in Clearwater, Florida (home base of Scientology).
I said “I hope the Scientologists didn’t get to her.” He replied that she is a Scientologist but still maintains relationships with family members who are not.
I have pretty strong feelings about some of these “high demand” religions but do my best to respect people’s beliefs.
I won’t say more because I am on double-secret probation for teasing the filter.

I like to ride my bike too, but since changing direction and not actually training, I have found I don't have to be on the bike daily. Of course, I now commute, where that wasn't an option when on a plan. I don't slit my throat when I have to drive, even though I'd rather ride. You may be better served on the trainer to get the daily hour/hour and a half so the legs can be ready for the good weekend ride perhaps?

I do get up at 4 am a couple of days a week to hit the weights though.
"Is it leg day, Eeyore?"
"Yes Pooh. It's leg day today."

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if you were racing, or which way you were going.

Limited time home prefer to be on the bike. Last year was my first race season, so I didn’t change anything and just kept volume high. My body seems to respond well to that, plus the weekend group rides I got noticeably faster. This year Simon was born forcing me to ride early in the morning and cutting my volume way down. I’ve only done maybe 3 group rides this year, one ended in a bad crash. Been complaining about the speed and power going down for a couple of months now, lowered the volume even more and now trying to follow a strict plan.

Not sure what the circumstances were, but I'm sorry to hear of the crash. I'm not sure about Garmin, other than the recommendations they give when I turn it on, but maybe Trainer Road is the ticket? I do know if I threw in a set of random intervals just to "see", my coach would have screamed bloody murder. I didn't feel it would be smart to test those waters, so I didn't....
Gotcha, Trainer road is next on the list. When TMONk joined us I picked his brain a bit to try and figure out what the hell was going on. I mean all signs point to Faitgue, and i’m too stubborn not to ride at this point. I started a garmin plan just to see if I could stick to something before I buy trainer road.
Crashed the emonda 3 days after buying it and first ride with new wheels. Landed on my head pretty good. dented the seat stay. I was pretty upset about it. Some Cat 1 guy from colorado showed up on a group ride and decided to prove something. Took 2 of us out.
