Other than brake/shift controls, the only handlebar-mounted accessory on my road bike is a computer.. On my gravel bike, I have a computer and a bell. My MTB gets a computer, a bell, and left-side levers for dropper post and fork lock-out.

To "lace up a wheel" may sounds pretty old-timey, but I heard it al the time. My dad used to say it, so my grandfather probably said it, too (but he had Parkinsons when I was a kid, and I couldn't understand him). Technically, the word is appropriate, as you are drawing something -- a spoke -- through an eyelet -- a spoke hole.
