Aero bikes are amazing and fun, as long as the road is not too harsh and the hills not too big.

For me, it is a variation. I ride the commuter to get somewhere, but the Venge, Epic and Langster are all about having a good time. And, making a hot lap (fast for me ) around the local island is very enjoyable, something different from the MTBing or playing on th SS.

I missed that.... Probably given some folks seem to have issues with aero bikes. I think most of the issues are related to buying an aero bike and hoping to use it as an all around bike.

I've heard good things about Denton, but that might just be because I have so many friends there.

Wandered around on my bike, 4 1/2 hours of just chill which was pretty nice.

Also, I might be looking at getting new shoes. My feet are bruising because there aren't wide enough.

I finally secured an apartment for the upcoming school year. Phew. Now I just need to find a roommate and I'll be all set.

I'm a little concerned about riding a 2k bike into school everyday though. I love the On-One pompino but the new version isn't as great as the old one imo. And it's kinda a unique frame, so I might get one anyways.

@Sherblock my buddy just built up a 2015 pompino, it's still a nice bike, only dumb thing is the lack of brake hangars for cantis and it's heavy bit that's expected.

You know you need it in your life now. Preferably with di2 and 404's.

Also, feasible #slamdatstem points.

First the bike, then the divorce lawyer...... I do not need either of these.

heck, I am almost old, and I have never been fast. So, my version is more than fast enough for me.

Yeah, Interlachen is close to my town of Gainesville (the Austin of Florida), and it's in the country. Most people in the country like their privacy and are very paranoid of people "trespassing". But at least you don't have to worry about walking down the wrong street at night and getting jumped. It's a trade-off: crazy rednecks and muggy weather instead of violent crime and theft in an overcrowded city with high cost of living. A couple years ago I lived on a lake for $250 rent and could ride a nice limerock road most of the way to work. Where can you do that in Chicago, NY, etc.? I don't really give a **** about "community" and whatnot, anyway. I would rather live far away from other people and have the freedom to build alternative, eco-friendly structures without some code enforcement telling me I can't build a sod house, or some ****.

Season's over, I might not race till next year. I may do TNR (track) a couple more times but that's it. Time to be lazy!

And by lazy, I mean: hiking, swiming, bodysurfing, lifting ultimate frisbee and backpacking, instead of slaving away on training rides. Oh and sleeping in too .

Bike time will be reduced and non-prescribed - "JRA" (Just riding around) I like to call it.

NOTE TO SELF: Ride you fixed gear moar!!!!

Today I am significantly pissed. Payroll ****ed up and i'm not getting paid... it really only falls on me- i have no dependents besides my dog, but essentially I live paycheck to paycheck, which also sucks.

Thankfully, cycling is free. takes my mind off the situation and generally puts me in a better mood.

I can't ride with messenger bags anymore... my back gets all tight and ****ed up for a few days.

I don't even do backpacks anymore. If I ever start srsly bike commuting I will need to get racks and panniers, or just leave a few days worth of food and clothing at work in advance.

i put the tubeless tape i got from pacenti on the new wheels, looks like the col de la vie's will tubeless up just fine

ever deflate a tube with a tire locked on a tubeless rim? it like vacuum seals the whole tire onto the rim. super weird.
