Today I (v2):
Fresh Garbage
These parts came off a bike that looked like it stayed outside for many many years with no care. Maybe some soaking in oil can get the shifters going smoother.

As expected, the 'too good to be true' $10 repair stand turned out to be a scam.
On the other hand, finally got pics of my Lemond after the refinish. SO stoked.

today i broke my kneecap into 3 pieces! yaaaaay
i wasn't in a whole lot of pain at first, and i made a feeble attempt at walking it off which almost made me black out or throw up or something.
anyway, yeah. no biking for 2 or 3 months, surgery in the next few days. a car turned right into me. at least she got out and offered help and was very apologetic.
not sure if my beloved swobo is OK, i left it at the hospital. but i'm pretty sure the front end is more or less OK. say a prayer for my chainstays i guess.

thanks all
i'm sure i will, but not a clue what to do with myself in the meantime.
kind of speculating that i might get back into music again, find some other way to make money, and maybe even just reserve myself to cruising when i can bike again....... idk. haven't done enough cruising lately.

Sorry to hear about the crash HappyTrash hope that your recovery is quick and as pain free as possible.
I am doing a little celebrating over here. Upstairs dog lady, the one with the barking dog who thought it would be a great idea to get another dog? Yeah. Looks like she is moving out. About 95% sure so far. Pickup and a few guys here, and there is a lot of moving around going on up there. Blankets in the bed of the truck. Haven't heard the dogs in a few days. Looks good for me.

Oh wow, HappyTrash, sorry to hear about that! Hopefully the surgery goes well and recovery is quick and painless.
Yesterday I bought a new chain and installed it myself. First time doing that, so I'm happy. The powerlink was a little confusing at first, but a quick Google search later and I was able to connect it no problem.

I road the Spesh EMTB last weekend, with the 27.5 plus tires, and it was silly fun to ride.

Don't we all?! Shoot I would be happy with 15+MPH my ass is slow not just kinda ; )
I haven't done the Turbo Levo yet but I have ridden one of the Turbos and this Fat Bike felt a lot like that speed wise but way heavier and much wider tires. I also rode the Focus Thron which is their FS E-bike but only on the road.
E-Bikes are stupid fun! I might eventually end up with one and I feel horrible but every time I get on one I start to like it and see how I was wrong about them.

Today, after many long months and delays due to family stuff (Grandma and a great aunt and great uncle passing away and other relatives being stupid), I finally finished building my new bike. It's super fun. I absolutely love it and I finally feel like my bike fits me properly. I'll probably post a pic tomorrow.
Today I fell over today at a stoplight due to clipless pedals, I couldn't stop laughing. Bought some new shoes last week that came with new cleats and was too used to my blown out cleats, luckily I wasn't wearing a helmet.
I also lightened my mountain bike by about 5 lbs, can't wait to go ride it this weekend.

Update to my accident, all is well. Surgery on my ear went great, everything is healing up just fine.
Shoulders and chest still hurt like hell, tons of bruising and muscle/skeletal pain, but other than that, I'm okay.
