1972 MENS SCHAUFF OLYMPIC ED. - $175 (KENOSHA WISCONSIN)

1972 MENS SCHAUFF OLYMPIC EDITION BIKE, STREET BIKE , SKINNY TIRES, RARE, PICTURES ON REQUEST- NEED A EMAIL ADDRESS TO SEND PHOTOS,
Looks like bike boom gaspipe. It will probably ride just fine after some elbow grease. For what it is, $100 is as high as I'd go. Plus, the plastic derailleurs need to be swapped out.

EDIT: Er, Derailleur---singular. That is a 1 x 5.

This could be interesting, wonder what the price is and if you could haggle since the fork is bent?

Anyone know where Flemmington NJ is?

I know this is huge.... but is it an OK buy for a tall rider? Is this like a poorman's paramount? Or maybe a Pooramount *SALTS*

Vintage RARE Bianchi Stationary Exercise Bike Bicycle Mid Century - $200

Rare Vintage Bianchi stationary exercise bike in good working condition. Would be excellent for the Bianchi collector who wants to add a very rare piece to their collection. Original leather seat in excellent condition. Includes the original two leather foot straps and handlebar grips. Odometer reads 1837 miles. I'm asking $200 or best offer.
This is soo cool! It looks like something my Mother would have ridden after watching Jack La lane while she was busy Ironing!

I am wondering less if the fork is bent and more if it is on backwards! Might be worth trying to haggle that it is bent and see if the owner doesn't notice. Not a bad looking bike if I say so.

Exactly my point, perhaps I should put bent in air quotes.

Flemington is in North /Central, NJ ... almost directly north of Trenton, and west of New Brunswick / Perth Amboy ... if that helps at all.

Frame too large/slamed seatpost plus fork reversed = high probability of this being a stolen bike. The flat tires, matching water bottle and bar tape (P.O. obviously was actually a rider) don't help my feeling any. If it had cheap replacement platform pedals on it then the probability would be approaching 1:1 IMHO.

That's a '73 Sports Tourer with a 26" frame in Sunset Orange. It is missing quite a few original pieces, however other than the brakes many of the changes could be considered upgrades.

That's a BIG chainring jump, isn't it? AND a huge outer ring. Or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

< edit > Note to self: next time read the ad, dummy. Rings are 54/36.

Seller might as well list it on Ebay for that price. $500, imo, is way too much for that model, as I have seen them for almost half that price, in just as nice a shape. (Unless I am being stupid and missing something )

Edit: Just to be sure, checked some of the search engines......and yea, those Motobecane Grand Tourers with the Vitus tubing sell for anywhere between 200-$350, depending on area and condition. $500 is an absurd price.

That and the fact that the ad's been up for at least 2 months. Too bad: nice bike.

Yea, it is a very nice bike. Really good middle of the road touring bike. Here in Oregon I would think it could easily bring $250-275, maybe even $300 with the racks, as it looks to be in really nice shape.
