Recent copy from an otherwise un-wacky ad:
It is a very light weight bike since the frame is made from aluminum annoy I believe

Hmmmm....

I have a brazed bike.
Carbon Fiber bonded to Carbon Fiber Lugs.
Carbon Fiber tubes bonded to aluminum lugs.
Carbon Fiber wrapped around aluminum tubes and bonded into stainless lugs.
Bonded aluminum fork.
Monocoque Carbon Fiber Frame

So "welded" does tell one a lot, although it could be steel, aluminum, or titanium. Well, maybe not a Gary Fisher bike.

What is the Titanium lock? Is that worth the $100 asking price?

Mountain bike Dual shock 18 speeds comfortable seat groceries basket - $49 (Green bay, WI)

https://greenbay.craigslist.org/bik/...273359756.html

Good bike with comfortable seat better than original. Dual shocks feel good, an excellent mountain bike for the forest with good tires. 18 speed. Front brakes work good and safe. I disabled the back brakes as it slowed down the bike. All reflective panels are present and safe.

Ok, I don't post a lot of stolen bike ads, but this one is a bit on the wacky side.
https://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/...264663053.html
https://seattle.craigslist.org/see/b...264550115.html

Keep an eye out for these parts from my bike that was stolen : Frame now has white tubes with colnago decals.
Spinergy SPOX front wheel.
Scott Drop-in Bars,
Custom Campagnolo shifter brazed onto hose clamp for handlebar mount.
Campagnolo Racing T 175 crank arm modified for shimano 130BCD inner chain ring
. Rough SRAM Red front brake.
Reynolds Ouzo carbon fork with about 160mm steerer.
Carbon saddle with custom leather cover (home made)
Cannodale C3 stem.
Shimano
105 rear derailleur.
Rear wheel with Drive side titanium anodized spokes on freewheel hub (black 155 grams with carbon reinforced spoke holes. Also my helmet with my name on it Blue with colnago decals Daniel Burkert)
Hopefully the previous owner is reconsidering putting fake Colnago stickers on his bike

If only he had a 70cm frame, no thief would have been able to straddle it.

Why I'll never use a roof rack.

Daughter hit underground garage while on bike rack that resulted in bent frame

Too bad it wasn't a carbon fiber bicycle, otherwise we could have another discussion about the dangers of CF frames

It does list OBO.
Perhaps the seller expects 50% offers and would jump on a $750 offer.

That Fuji is beautiful, but this is the problem with vintage second tier used bikes. If new,it might be a $1500 bike, but that is a 30 year old bike without the vintage appeal of Italian racers or boutique shop built bikes

Or he might be like my buddy, his wife was bugging him to sell his all original '69 Mach 1 Mustang. He's the second owner, he bought it from the first owner's estate. He put it on Ebay with a ridiculous price, when he didn't get any takers she quit bugging him to sell it. Probably not the case here though.

I hope you don't think that just because a thief could not straddle a bike, that the thief would not steal the bike.

Also, is there a max height limit on bike thieves?

I've done that to a few sellers. Some replied nicely. One actually asked for my advice. Others had no replies and their ads never changed. lol

I don't think I would give unsolicited advice on prices, although I have submitted offers for obviously damaged or overpriced goods.

I have, on occasion written to a seller identifying mislabeled or poorly marked items, and sometimes get a positive answer, and sometimes they insist they are right with their mislabeled product.

I don't email sellers too often about stuff like that but when I do there is usually no response. I don't email about prices though...figure they'll find out soon enough on their own lol. I did email a guy with a decent bike a few months ago to let him know the "problem he was having" was his fork was backwards. He thanked me and asked how to fix it...he never updated his ad about having done it though.
