Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2008 Jamis Xenith Comp, full carbon, ultegra rear, 105 everywhere else. I was discussing options with the boss to replace
my 15 yo 'goose and he says, "what do we have in the shop?"
Lo and behold, my size and it did't have to be ordered.

I almost sold this on ebay. Just ended the auction early today to keep it. I was going to sell it, and buy a Soloist Carbon, but I just can't part with this bike. I'll just buy a Soloist when I have the extra funds to do it. I can't part with this fine American made machine!

So I guess I made a good decision, thanks for reinforcing it guys. My screen name wouldn't quite make any sense if I sold it anyway. I still want a Cervelo for a race bike, but when I found out that they are manufactured in China, I couldn't justify throwing my 5200 away to buy a China built Cervelo. I still love Cervelos, but not enough to sell my Trekster.

I'm not a fan of Trek by any stretch...and there's no way in hell I'd get rid of that frame.

2008 and 2009 Specialized Tarmacs. Just got new wheels, so I decided to snap a picture. The 2008 belongs to my girlfriend.

Both are nice. 2009 is sexy (At least I think that's the 09, the second picture.). I love that first picture; Wine, wine, wine, wine, wine, other alcohol, syrup.

aaaaaand Thank you Looking forward to seeing that Merlin built up

My Lynskey has been very good to me for the past 1.5yrs, and lung, I agree... Ti is a great material. I've had high end bikes of all the usual suspect materials, and all around, IMO Ti takes the cake. I think the EDGE fork and Lynskey frame are perfect together, not only for it's blinding good looks (hehe) but because it just handles better than anything I've been on. And it's a portly fella too at 17.5lbs (heavy rims).

Thanks, you guys make me really happy with my decision. I do feel it is the best looking of the USPS era bikes, plus the whole history thing. I'll probably keep it forever now. I really don't know what I was thinking. Now I just need to sell my DH bike, and buy some Zipps for it!

As a mountain biker (Since before I even had a road bike) I'd have to object. What kinda bike?

I'm sad to say I would throw my CAAD9 out the window for that bike.

I'm a picture ho. I put a different version of my favorite Regal on there, and switched the bar tap out to black Deda cork (my favorite), and I'm keeping the white hoods, because they compliment the white lettering on the black saddle.

I'm also selling this bike int he marketplace if anyone is interested in a KILLER bike.

Very nice. I always liked that color.
Also remember when looking at more "impressive" bikes, its the motor that is most important part.

Being a bagpiper myself, that video was extremely hard to listen to. Mostly because the guy's chanter was out of tune and his fingers were really sloppy.

Oh wait, this is the bike forum, not the piping forum. Carry on.
