on my cane creeks i ran about an inch of housing and cable inside the lever and terminated it with a crimp.

if you actually pull on it you have to re crimp it but all you had to do was roll back the hood

Thanks hopefully they'll get a US distributor I'd like to give it a shot on one of my ratty frames. If you'd post pics that'd be cool

I've seen guys run the hood without a lever.

Probably have to use a punch or drill out the pin and there's likely no going back.

Maybe I could run a length of cable out under the tape and then clamp it in place with a cell phone holder.

You can use a peice of housing and run that housing to a brake caliper.

Brake calipers have springs in them.

Did this method allow the lever to return when accidentally pressed?

Yeah. Its elastic and anchored to a fixed spot, so I basically just made my own spring return.

Not necessarily. You have to punch out the pin to rebuild a Campy Ergo brifter, then you just punch it back in. Cane Creek and a lot of Tektro levers are the exact same shape as 10 speed Campy.

Off brand 60 watt 12 port USB charger to charge lights and GPS and more lights.

For $22 the thing looks like state of the art North Korean technology. I hope it doesn't burn my house down.

Added a Specialized Pizza Rack. Many food runs in this bike's future. Gonna have to get flat pedals and some fenders.
