The bike is going to need some additional work and tuning, Biopace is weird, the 8 speed indexed bar ends shift some gears and not others, considering it is a six speed that si to be expected but of course the friction works fine. The Regina America aluminum freewheels I have as never been a good shifter and surprisingly, it still isn't. I need a better chain, the Sedis just does not like the Biopace or the Regina. Oh well, that can all be worked out.
I would like to find a non Biopace inner ring for it too.
On the road this is a very responsive bike, quick, not too twitchy and surprisingly stiff.

Steel is real, baby!
1985 Raleigh USA Team Professional Replica / 555
The stable is growing. The wife is getting concerned with the lack of garage space (and the mess)

Yeah, me too. I took it out for it's maiden voyage Friday evening and some guys on cf bikes whizzed by going the other way, all dark, gray somber colors, their necks nearly twisted off trying to see the white and blue bike. It is actually sort of pretty. I only had a set of red Michelin Pro Race 3 tires so that is what is on it now which gives it a sort of weird color clash which I am sort of beginning to acquire a taste for.

You can get indexed 8 spd. down tube shifters for it. If you don't care for the bar ends (I never could acquire a taste for them).
I think the red tires contrast nicely and look great!
I also never could get used to Biopace rings. Just replace the rings with round ones. They're all over eBay.

Sexy bike. I want one of those.. Either that or Ti.. Steel is real...
.Can we be a member of both , I have both steel and aluminum .. Steel is real.. Think I feel more secure on a steel bike..

Both of these bikes have been upgraded to a 10 speed Dura Ace/Ultegra mix. The photos are a little outdated since I have changed a lot of the accessories too. Hope to get new pics soon.
A new frameset. Not sure what to do do with this one yet.
