Did you use a local anesthetic? I hope so.
I went to an ortho in high school with a swollen knee after a running accident. He drained 60 cc of blood, no local. The most painful thing I ever experienced (and I have broken a hip).
I could see him twisting the syringe back and forth, as I bit into the pillow stuffed into my mouth to muffle the screaming.

The California High-Speed Rail project is progressing, and by late 2030 they expect to start carrying passengers. Between Fresno and Bakersfield.

The antihistamines are to reduce mucus typically related more to allergies than infections, such as claritin/allegra/zyrtec/benadryl. They are generally safe although old fashioned ones like benadryl are mildly sedating.

The solo RAAM record is around 8 days. Maybe the cocktails LesterOfPuppets suggested for Velo Vol might help. The bike shop may be cranky at your 8 day test ride though, and having to pick it up back east somewhere.

There is nothing near central phx. I checked, and spending money to uber to a bike shop for no reason seems silly. All I have are bibs with me.

I thought it was 16 days. Or was it 8 days 16 hours? That Aussie lad right?

We must have used something, but local anesthetic only numbs the skin and provides mainly a placebo effect for the patient and the operator. I've watched my wife have joints aspirated and injected with steroid meds. If I looked closely I might have seen her pupils dilating slightly.

She says “1”
Sales person asked “with all of the benefits, why a one?”
her response: “because zero wasn’t a ******g option”
they left us alone after that

You are getting confused. The debunked medicine is PPA or phenyl propanolamine which is a decongenstant of dubious/weak benefit, and the FDA is working on getting it off the shelves.
The good stuff is sudafed, pseudephedrine. This is for PRESSURE/CONGESTION. Its dark side is that it may cause your to feel speedy/ramped up a bit, and raise your BP.

It was the over the counter "fake" pseudoephedrine that didn't work, which was taken off the market recently.

The airline is willing to pay for your extended hotel stay, but not for either transport or hotel stays on the way home? Seems bureaucratic as probably a wash or even cheaper to get you home by ground transport. Rules don't always make sense but I thought the airline pilots had pretty strong unions will rules in place for situations like this.
Good luck

Im going to start pressing the issue tomorrow if it doesn’t clear, but from my understanding, generally dead heads are the only approved transportation. They will taxi you in some cases but the longest I have heard of is 3 hours and that was not to get someone home but to get them in place for the next flight. A seat on the plane doesn’t cost the airline anything, the hotels have contracts and a lot of times extra rooms are already paid for.
I understand what you are saying, if it doesn’t clear by tomorrow I will see if I can get a train ride or bus ride or anything. At this rate by the time I get home I will have to turn around and go back to work. Stupid.
